1964 Sunbeam Alpine MKIII

New to our workshop is this original Sunbeam Alpine MkIII restoration project.

As well as being James Bond´s first car (original 007, Sean Connery, drove one in Doctor No), the Sunbeam Alpine was a useful rally and race car for the works Rootes Group (Tulip Rally, Rally Monte Carlo, Alpine Rally, Le Mans 24 hours, Daytona, Sebring, Targa Florio etc).

This example is sound, complete and original in Wedgewood Blue with black interior and a new soft top. With robust and tuneable mechanical components, the Alpine represents an interesting alternative to other English roadsters of the early 60s.

Originally registered in 1964 in Holland, with Dutch papers, LHD and attractively priced, this early Alpine is an interesting and practical opportunity for an enthusiast to rebuild either for historic rally or boulevard cruising.
