The car was built from the ground up out of a 2000GTV donor. All external panels were new, (using best-quality panels) only the roof panel being original. All floors panels, boot floor panel and sills were replaced. The bubble wigs were blended into the car. Similarly all glass was retained as the owner did not want plastic windows. A new laminated glass windshield was fitted and all rubbers were new throughout the car.
The car was built as a wide-body GTAm replica. The fiberglass blisters were fitted flush over new wings and the body finished in SEAT blue /white nose/white roll cage (both according to the instructions of the customer). Inside, the car a 6 point bolted Sparco rollcage was fitted, together with Sparco bucket seats and Sparco 4 point belts, 36cm Sparco racing wheel and an intercom system. Please, keep reading below!
The brief from the customer was to build a fully specced and sorted high performance (approx 170 bhp) historic rally car, which could also double as a comfortable, dramatic road car, immaculately presented. Specification is massive, and all parts were bought new from leading specialists in Europe and the USA. The car benefits from everything which Italclassics has learned about 105 Alfas in over 40 years with the cars.

The engine was built by Italclassic in line with latest theory and practise for Alfa Nord twin cam engines. It was conceived to deliver good power whilst retaining good torque and tractability. The result gives approximately 170 bhp, but is perfectly drivable in city traffic. These are the main points of the engine build summarized:
